The mask slips in this video of Marlene Guest - fascist, holocaust denier and BNP candidate.
Continuing BNP leader Nick Griffin’s train of thought, Guest, an evident authority on the holocaust, muses on the numbers. It’s always the numbers. Oh no, it’s not that they’re trying to add the worst possible insult to the worst possible injury and engage in the most heinous kind of anti-Semitism (murdering 6 million is surely bad enough, but then making out that the Jews just fabricated it all for money?). No, they’re just sticklers for numbers.
“I mean I’ll read anything,” she says, “and I’ve read a thing called ‘Did Six Million Jews Really Die?” she opines. The holocaust was all about “the Jews putting Germany on a guilt trip”, apparently.
Oh, and Professor Guest, as she must surely now be referred to then offers a fantastic contribution to an intellectual discussion of what the Nazis contributed to Western civilisation
“The only good that came of it was what they gleaned from what they did i’n't it?”
What do you mean, she’s asked.
“Well apparently, I’ve read it somewhere, whether it’s right or wrong I don’t know, but plastic surgery and dentistry and other things they found out by what they did.”
My only concern is that Marlene Guest is not representative of her party as a whole. Don’t get me wrong, most of her fellow candidates probably have similar beliefs, but they’re just too bright to express them on the doorsteps up and down the country. So BNP voters will be voting for fascists, racists and nutcases, but they may have little idea that they’re doing it. I suppose I should at least commend Marlene for her honesty.
