The Canadian’s Guide to the European Union

For most Canadians, the European Union is just that thing, over there, that does stuff relating to Europe. For me, it was that thing, in Brussels, that bans seal imports. Until Kerri, Anca and I arrived at the European Journalism Centre at the Residence Palace in the Eurozone, I had no idea about its scope or complexity, nor the controversy and the apathy that it generates. Over the next week, we’ll be immersed in “eurocracy” and policy, meeting
