A week or so ago, Eline van den Broek (sorry, just Dutch), the number one candidate for Libertas Netherlands, professed her choice pro-security and anti-terrorism on her blog. She responded to Cheney’s statement he did not regret his choices as they have saved “thousands of lives”. Last Friday she reiterated her beliefs, although in the meantime her original blogpost had been removed - not from Google cache though.
As preposterous as her first argument was - she seems to claim torture is always effective and the famous ‘ticking time bomb’ is becoming more a rule than an exception - today she really overstepped a border.
She posted a video showing images of her explaining her points of view on torture, before proceeding to demonstrate them on an innocent man she apparently abducted off the streets.
