Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Walesa will address over 1,000 delegates from across Europe at the Libertas convention in Rome today. According to the organizers, he will talk about “freedom”. On this May Day, younger Europeans, who enjoy freedom, should raise a glass to the great Lech Walesa.
After all, it was he who founded the first independent trade union, Solidarity, within the Soviet bloc, and helped bring about the end of what Ronald Reagan so rightly termed the “evil empire”. Bear that in mind when you’re chillin’ with the neo-Marxists who now long for the good old days of warm and fuzzy “comradeship”.
