Slovaks who enjoy travelling and getting to places not accessible to anyone are surely very grateful that there is such thing as elections to European Parliament. A trip to Brussels with a visit to European Parliament and a trip to Lourdes, a pilgrimage town, or Vatican City with an audience with the Pope—this is what some can get. How? Political parties’ competitions! If you want to get into European Parliament, just take pictures! One of Slovak parties will invite authors of three best photographs covering its election campaign for a trip to Brussels. And another party had decided to prefer general knowledge to photographic skills: the party will choose one of the competitors who have sent answers to three questions (a guess on how many seats will the party gain in European Parliament and two knowledge questions: what country is Lourdes in and what city is the official seat of European Parliament in) (but they will choose from all the answer, not only the correct ones…) and they will let the lucky winner decide whether he/she would like a two-persons trip to Lourdes or Vatican City.
Hurry and browse the internet—maybe there is some election-related competition waiting for you as well! And keep your fingers crossed for me with the photo contest!
