From today on till the elections I will try to post some videos asking different young people about the reasons for which they should vote in june for the next parliamentary elections. Today, the first chapter of this serial will present the opinion of an italian student in the Faculty of Political Science in the Sapienza University in Rome. The video was captured during the conference in Rome of Y VOTE campaign 2009 from AEGEE Students’ Forum
In the next weeks till the elections some other videos will show the opinion of different young people in the different countries. Let’s see what they have in common, or how different they are.

Interesting idea! I like the fact you’re playing around with video. My camera is rubbish, so I’m not able to take good quality video, unfortunately, or I’d use it more for my own blogging.
One thing: are you sure your question is going to generate a lot of varied answers? If you ask people why they should vote, won’t you just get a lot of answers along the lines of: “to exercise my democratic duty/right”?
Maybe you should ask people who they’re going to vote for, and why they plan on voting for that candidate?
Dear Josef,
Thank you very much for the comment.
I see your point, I will also try to integrate your suggestions, I think they can also be interesting. Nevertheless, you would be surprised how differently can be answered this simple question as why vote…
Again, thanks for your ideas, I will use them. And don’t worry about the camera, this is recorded also with a normal photo camera, nothing special, but the important is the content!
best regards.
