Europe, huh? What’s the Europe?

OK, it’s my first post in here - so no early judgement. In these days then world is obsessed with internet and no communication campaign can survive without twitter, facebook and project blog, European Parliament decided to do the same. This is why we are here (big applause).

But here is a thing. I know what the EP is. Maybe you know or your mom knows. But does Joe the plumber know that? Guess what? Probably not. Here is the short video (from USA, but hold on, I’ll explain everything later):

In Lithuania we a have a short show called “Question”, were people on the streets are asked for the same and simple question (like, where is Austria). You would be surprised how many silly answers they receive. Is it funny? Yeah, but… sometimes it can make you cry or shout: “What’s wrong with you people!” You can shout, you can be desperate, but no one cares. Is it the same with European election?

To sum up, here is the problem: only few know that we are electing politicians to the EP, but even less know that EP even exist. So during these few months my posts will tell you how Baltic countries are preparing for European election, national campaigns and people, who even doesn’t know, that Budapest is the capital of Hungary.

  1. Again she? The “But I thought that Europe was a country!” girl! I thought everybody has already seen that video… Which always makes me laugh…

  2. It’s like wine: older it gets - better it tastes.
